-parts of european maps (class quiz tomorrow)
-homelessness (talke about what it mean) unaccipained youth, moved 2 or more and conitue to keep going from place to place, living on streets, kicked out of house, someone who has been without house for 3 months, someone under the age of 25 lacking a stable home
-cronicly homeless is someone who can't have a home because of an addiction, PTSD, or a serious mental illness and they usually are on the streets for years
-california has almost 1 in 4 people are homeless
-60% of homeless people are men
-lots of children under 18 are kicked out beacuse of being pregnant/lgbtq+
-over half of a million people were considered homeless in the united states last year
-about 8,000 people in san fran are homeless (total)
-they can't put them all in prison because they have a supreme court ruling against them that called it cruel
-homelessness and drug addcits are increasing because of that rule
-the homeless people just do what they want on the street because they can't get arrested
-the more you give money and things to the homeless people, the more homeless people there's going to be

-had a class debate on wether or not we agree with this law
-9/11 bush doctrine (US had the right to secure itself afainst countries that harbor or give aid to terrorist groups)
-United States should depose foreign governments that represent a potentail threat to the security of the US
-encourage democracy around the world, especially in the middle east as a strategy for combating terrorism
-one world trade center built now (opened november 2014) it's the tallest building in the US

-started with going over the next part of the map (class quiz is next friday)
-girl jumped into the lion exibit at the zoo(lucky to be alive)
-anti boulder
-homeless opera singer became homeless 3 years ago after her violin got stolen and that was her money maker
-some teachers in Florida an carry guns inside classrooms now
-had a class debate over if we agree with guns in classrooms
-if that happenes there will be heavy backround checks (mental and physical health is included) 144 hours of training
-some can argue that guns will just allow more violance (guns on guns) is it hipicritical?
-people who are for the guns can argue that shooters come to schools beacuse they are a no gun zone, but if we had a few guns on hand, maybe they would think twice before coming
