Today in class we had a debate. We first talked about abortion. The opinions on abortion are very mixed. Republicans are against it. I am for it. Then we talked about flag burning. Republicans believe that it is disrespectul to our conutry. I also think that it is an insult to our country. After that we talked about gun control. Repubicans believe that everyone should have the right to a gun. I think that there should be some restrictions. For example, if you have murdered someone in the past, you shouldn't have the right to a gun. But taking away guns would be unfair, especially to hunters. Democrats think that only certain people should have certain guns. They think they would have to have permits for the guns. Republicans think you should have the right to bear arms..like the second amendment says.
