Today, we finished discussing the assigned blogs. My topic was the Taliban. They were basically Afghanistan's government from 1996-2001. They treated women horribly and were very strict when people broke laws. I think that it would have been a horrible place to live.We talked about the number 9,723.69 which is currently the Dow Jones. The stock market is very confusing, but after our drop last year, that means we are doing really well. I spent the rest of the time researching for my assigned blog this week and reading current stories. I read a story about a boy who lied about being kidnapped so he wouldn't have to show his parents his report card. I think that's really just sad. Sure they might get upset, but still I'd rather have that than a criminal offense for lying to the police.
