September 11, 2009Two airplanes flew into the twin towers, one flew into the pentagon, and one crashed into a field that was planned to fly into either the white house or the capitol. Approximentally three thousand people were killed, people who were on the planes realized they were going to die and so they decided to try to take over the cock pit, thus the plane crashed into the field..2,000 died in the crash of the twin towers, 125 died with the crash to the pentagon, and around 60 died with the crash into the fields.

People who are trained with weapons going out and fighting with Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Pakistani gov't are giving them supplies for their army. They call themselves a religious government. They are gaining in power right now, and the Obama administration has to deal with that. The head general over there is asking for more troops. Obama is switching troops more to Afghanistan other than Iraq. The taliban is recruiting children into their army so they have more people. They treat women super horribly. Women are not allowed to leave the house, they have to be covered literally from head to toe. In the 1980's they paired up with the CIA to help fight off the Soviet Union from Afghanistan. We helped and gave money to Afghanistan to fight during the time of the Cold War when the Soviets were our biggest enemies. The taliban's leader is Mulah Mohammed Omar. The Taliban is very very strict Islamic law. They took it a lot further. The taliban's beleifs are anti-modern. Women cannot have jobs, an education, or play sports.Music is terrible to them, and so are Christmas Cards. Men had to have beards longer than a fist clamp at the base of the chin.
