Today in CWI we talked about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I learned that he is the leader of Iran. Mr. Bruns said he doesn't know when the Europe test will be. It was blog discussion day and we talked about 9/11 first. I learned that 90% of the civilians that died in the Twin Towers were on the bottom level because of the impact of all the under levels of the building. One of the planes hit the Pentagon, two hit the Twin Towers, and the last one crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. The towers went down within two hours. We went to war in Afganistan because of this attack. Mr. Bruns said we should watch the movie Flight 93. It is about the plane that crashed into a field and how the people on that plane take it over. They still died but they were very heroic.We watched president Bush's famous Ground Zero speach from September 11th.The next topic we talked about in class was Taliban. The Taliban ruled Afganistan from 1996 until 2001. We didn't get finished talking about this topic today. Mr. Bruns said we will finish it tomorrow.
