Bill Bell played the tuba at the age of 10. When he was 15 he got a full ride music scholarship to South Dakota. John Wayne was born in Winterset iowa. Worked for Fox films coporation. First big film was John Ford's Stagecoach. Was an actor. Has a cancer foundation.
9/6/19- Norman Borlaug was an american agricultral sciencetist, plant pathologist. Won the nobel prize, padma vibhushan,vannevar bush, Presidential medal of freedom. He wrote mulitple books. He helped work on world hunger thats why he won the nobel peace prize. Grow up in Northeast Iowa. Jack trice was born in Hiram, Ohio. He was athletic at a young age. His mom moved him to live with his uncle and then the coach at Ohio state took him to iowa state. Broke his collarbone, got trampled, and then died a few days later due to internal bleeding. Petition to rename field to Jack Trice Stadium.
