September 14th through September 18th

Monday- we filled in maps and had work time for our group projects

Tuesday- We finished the last of the maps and presented group projects.

Wednesday- Early out, took notes went over maps.

Thursday- Went over maps again, took notes, and discussed the debate. 

Friday- Class quiz, talked about poverty living in it. More notes finishing projects.

Capitalism- People own and control business based on Laissez-faire

Socialism- A political and economic system in which property and resources are pwned or controlled by the public, as a whole, or the state; common ownership. Objects are valued by their use.
Countries- China, Belgium, Finland and Denmark, Albania, Canada, Bulgaria

Direct vs. representative Democracy-  
direct-
A type of government where the society votes to create laws 
examples: Switzerland, Uruguay, The state of California, Vermont's town meetings, Hungary
Representative-type of government where the society elects leaders who vote to create laws for them.
Examples: The united States, Great Britain, India, Germany, Australia.]

Monarchy
Constitutional-  The king and Queen do not have most power, and they have to pass laws with elected parliament(yields the power)
Examples: King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Elizabeth II of England and Canada
Countries: England, Canada, Denmark, Jordan, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden.
Absolute- A government where the King or Queen can do whatever they want
Examples: King Salman of Saudi Arabia and King of the United Arab Emirates
Countries: Brunei, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Swaziland, United Arab Emirates
