Monday - We got Section 6 Lesson 1 out of the history book. We went over what we are doing. We worked on our outline.
Tuesday - We started our presentation and things are going great.
Wednesday - Early out today. We finished our presentation.
Thursday - We started presentations today.

Second Presentation
-How did railroads and the Homestead Act help settle the Great Plains?
- Railroad companies sold land to farmers for $2-$10 an acre
- People began moving out
- Better transportation for people and goods
- They gave land to the Head of families
-What challenges did settlers face on the Great Plains?
- They had to learn how to use their surroundings for building
-What problems did farmers face on the Great Plains
- They didn't understand how to farm the land
- Didn't know what crops could be farmed
