Ancient Greece- Composed of City-States.
Mythology- The study of myths. Myth- Stories about supernatural beings handed down orally from one generation to the next. Myths attempted to explain questions such as where the earth origionated, where the heavens origionated, seasons, geography, man, the gods themselves, etc.
The Creation of The World (according to Greek mythology)- First there was Chaos and out of chaos emergd two beings- Gaea (mother earth) and Uranus (Heavans). They had 12 kids and 6 monsters. Uranus hated his kids but hated the monsters the most. He locked the monsters in Tartarus.
We were asigned our Greek Characters for our assignment

The War of the Titans- Kronos had his army of Titana and Zues lead his brothers and sisters to battle. Zues's army won and they banished them to Tartarus, except for Atlas, who was forced to sustain the weight of the world forever. We watched a video for the rest of class.
