Are we really leaving our mark on this Earth?Senator Inhofe's speech was mainly about what the media was covering about Global Warming, not exactly what is happening. Inhofe is clearly for the fact that Global Warming is not caused by Humans, and the fact that the earth is cooler than it was hundreds of years ago. He is referring to what the media says about the issue, and how Hollywood gets involved with this issue. The world has flip flopped about Global Warming and Global Cooling a few times in the last 100 years.Inhofe started talking about the Hockey Stick graph. The graph is a picture stating that global warming has increased significantly from the last 100 years. The world was actually warmer than it is now during Medieval times, but scientists don't want people to really know that. The hockey stick graph is getting the attention put on the weather today, not back then. Which is exactly what they wanted in the first place.
The speech is stating how the media changes its mind about the world daily. One day Time Magazine is saying "Breaking News: Ice Age Coming Soon." Months later, "Humans causing Global Warming?" It really doesn't make sense to me. The fact that their putting all this in people's heads is wrong. Inhofe refers to 60 minutes. 60 minutes had a show about the North Pole and global warming. It was clearly biased. They talked about melting glaciers, but did not mention that during Midevil times it was warmer than this.The article talks a lot about Alarmists. I went through the whole article not knowing what it was. An alarmist is a person who takes something and exagerates it. They boast about it, and it's only their opinion. Leading to a rumor. Media is all about rumors, and that's why the world is either dying of heat or going into an ice age every few decades.I really don't know where I stand with this subject. Referring to all the Media coverage and the actual facts. I don't think its Humans fault. In the midevil times, the climate was hotter than now, I don't understand why everyone is freaking out. I think Hollywood is so full of Media and gossip that they believe everything they here. So, yes, Hollywood is going to freak out and talk about their opinions of Global warming. We probably do need to think about our planet a little more than we do now, but its currently not to the extent that Polar Bears are dying daily, and there's only two glaciers in the Arctic. If that's what everyone is thinking now, than how do you think the media was back then..when it was literally worse?
