Students will understand the impact the Great Depression and New Deal had on the US.
The Depression Made us poor with many people loosing jobs. The new dead tried to reboot the economy by giving money to buisnesses.
2. Students will understand the causes, effects and major events of WWII.
World war 2 had many effects including raisng the morale of people at home. Giving Women new jobs. Some of the major events were the bombs dropped on nagasaki and hiroshima, the battle of the bulge, the flag raising on iwo jima.
3. Students will understand how/why the Allies won WWII.
We won ww2 because we were smarter than the germans and had better leaders and guns. Also the british didnt give in to the germans when they bombed london. We also won because of the atomic bomb dropping.
4. Students will understand the causes, effects and major events of the Cold War.
The cause of the cold war was that the soviets had missles in cuba that were too close to our shores and we wanted them removed and the russians wouldnt move them.
5. Students will understand the causes, effects and major events of the Korean Conflict.
Since we had troops in south korea the north koreans thought we were going to take over their country.
6. Students will understand the causes, effects and major events of the Vietnam Conflict.
No body liked the vietnam war since it was thought of as a loss for the united states.
7. Students will understand the causes and effects of the Persian Gulf Wars as well as the War on Terror.
The war on terror happened beacuse of september 11,2001.
8.Students will understand the major economic, political, and social changes made during the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's and 2000's.
