--There are three main economical systems of the world. The first one is socialism. A socialist economy is a theory of government based upon the ownership and control of capital, land, and means of production by the community as a whole. Then there is capitalism. Capitalism is where property an land is privately and corporately owned. The final one is a mixed economy. A mixed economy is an economic system that allows for the simultaneous operation of publicly and privately owned enterprises.--There are seven main political systems:direct democracy, representative democracy, absolute monarchy, constitutional monarchy, dictatorship, theory of communism, and practice of communism. Direct democracy is a democracy that people as a whole make the decisions. A representative democracy is where the people elect someone to represent their views and opinions. An absolute monarchy is a government determined solely by the ruler. A constitutional monarchy is a monarchy in which the powers of the ruler are restricted to those granted under the constitution and laws of the nation. A dictatorship is a form of government in which absolute power is exercised by a dictator. A theory of communism is a peaceful society where everyone is equal. The poor people will rise up and everyone will be fair with money.The practice of communism is when the government controls everything - so whatever you make, they can take from you and share it equally with everyone. They claim it will help a higher social order.--The difference between democrat and republican is republican is more traditional and religious. They believe in the Trickle Down Theory and laissez-faire which allows people to do what they want. The democrats are liberals and favor change in society oppose government intervention into one’s private and social life. Democrats are for abortion while republicans are against it.Democrats are somewhat against it while the republicans are absolutely against it.Prayer in school; the democrats are against it but the republicans are for it.--The causes of global warming are carbon-dioxide from trees, the burning of coal, transportation of vehicles, water vapor, gases, fossil fuels, methane, carbon emissions, growth of greenhouse gases, heating our homes with oil or natural gases, and deforestation.--The effects of global warming are increase of temperatures, rise of sea levels, polar ice caps melting, economic consequences, increased probability and intensity of droughts and heat waves, warmer waters and more hurricanes, spread of disease, and polar bears are dying--Causes of overpopulation are now doctors have better medication so babies can live through births, also less people are dying because of better medication. In third-world countries mothers have lots of babies because they think that some might die. They also think if they have more there is a better chance of some becoming rich and giving back to them sometime. In some religions it is disrespectful not to have all kids and their god says you should have as many kids as possible. Also, woman are not as good as men. So people will keep having babies until they have a lots of boys.--Effects of overpopulation natural resources get used up faster, polluting soil and the food chain, droughts, dying forests, faster species extinction, dying coral reefs, and global warming.--Globalization is basically connecting the world through technology. Because of Globalization our generation will have to fight for jobs, because everyone knows exactly what you know.Students will be able to explain their understanding of recent current events(Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Darfur, Rwanda, Somalia).--Somalia- is a failed state. They are currently anarchy and its pretty bad there. So much killing is going on there. People can hardly support their families.--Rwanda- There was 100 day genocide in 1994. Up to one million people died. The Tutsi were considered superior to the Hutu, causing the Hutu to want to get rid of the Tutsi. The Hutu killed all the Tutsi and moderate Hutus they could. Most of the murders were done either using clubs or machetes. Many were killed in school and churches.--Iraq- We invaded Iraq in 2003 because we believed that they had weapons of mass destruction, starting the Iraq war. We found that there were actually no weapons of mass destruction but by this time it was too late. Obama plans on pulling out of Iraq so he can focus more in Afghanistan.--Darfur-the conflict started when Sudan kept saying that they liked Arabs over black Africans. The Africans then started the fight. It ended up that over 400,000 was killed and about 2.5 million were displaced. Many of the others have to have volunteers help them live.--Afghanistan-started from 9/11...the terrorist attacks on the twin towers and the Pentagon. Al Qeada, the world-wide terrorist organization, were the ones that did it. The Government in charge was the Taliban. They are very radical and very strict towards woman. Taliban let the terrorist group practice to attack. We haven't found Osama Bin Laden yet. The Taliban is out of power, and now has a democrat political system.--Iran- say they are making uranium rich plants for energy, but we believe they are making nuclear weapons.
