In 1994, over the course of approximately one-hundred days, something terrible happened in Rwanda. Yet another Genocide occured in this far from perfect world. Hundreds upon thousands of Tutsis and Hutu political figures were assassinated. Why must some people attempt to solve their problems and differences, by assassination and elimination? Does that pass their mind as okay, or justified?Rwanda's population is split into three groups. They consist of the Twa pygmies who make-up less than 1% of Rwandas population. The Tutsies who take-up 11% of the population. And, the main ethnicity of Rwanda, the Hutus who create the remaining 88% of the population. It began with the murder of, oh boy, Juvénal Habyarimana i believe. It occured on April 6 and continued through mid-july. A minimum of 500,000 people were killed. That's close to 1/5th of Rwandas population! How tragic! The accused parties are the Akazu, the Impuzamugambi militia, and the(good luck pronouncing this one) Interahamwe militia. Sorry Rwandans :(
