The Rwanda Genocide happend on April 6th 1994 through mid july. Approximatly 500,000 to 1,000,000 people were killed in the genocide. There were to main groups the Tutsi ans the Hutu. The Hutu where the once that killed hundereds of thousands of Tutsi's. The genocide was well organized the Rwanda Malitia was well populated with 30,000 troops under there command. They had at least one malitia representative in each neighborhood. In disscusions with the Prime Minister Jean Kambanda he said that one of the cabinet members for Rwanda reveiled that she was for the genocide and that she thought that without the Tutsi all of Rwandas problems would be over. Now that sounds alot like the Holocause to me and the nnumbers it ranged to are only a sixth of the Holocaust's. Most of the militia member only caried grenaids since they requierd no paper work to obtain then some member managed to get small automatic weapons such as AK-47 machien guns and other like that, the rest just carried machetes. In some reports the situations were too risky said some of the UN officials. The roman Catholic faith came to Rwanda in the late 1880s and taught their religion and in some ways the Religion brought out that the Tutsis were a superior race compared to the Hutu and that is some of the reasons for the genoside.
