The Congo:
the conflict is pretty much civil wars. people start to fight other tribes.
called africa's world war. civil wars give it that name pretty much.
they are arguing over the minerals on there
land.
they are mostly from rwanda and uganda.
also another problem is the Lord's Resistance Army.
conflict:
tons of human rights being violated like; sexual abuse, torture, and multilation.
they make kids do awful things, the age of kids that died were like underage of five....
effects:
there are alot of refugees, alot of people are starving because there is no help comingg.
malnutrition...
it destroyed the countries government.
the fighting has died down a little but still there are crimes happeningg.
because they are starving, they poch monkeyss. now they are getting deseases...
this started in 1995-1998 until todayy.
over 5400000 have died, deadliest conflict since world war 2.
the condtions are becoming non-livable. and overpopulation.
alot of things could be cured if poeple helped and if they had good health.
the government has had so many violent upheavals and isnt established is another reason this conflict has been so violent and deadlyyyy.
how people are helping.
the UN sent over a peace keeping force.
IRC has also been helping by sending in medicine and training people in the medical field.
