 increase inflation.

Give people a greater voice in government to do things that benefit the middle class

Increase money in circulation- The price of crops would go up so they could make more money and pay off their debts.

William Jennings Bryan- Populist that ran for president 3 times and lost every time.

Graduated income tax- More money you make more percent you pay. No federal income tax until 1913 (16th amendment). Uses taxes from rich to create programs to help middle class.

Direct election of senators- Senators are directly elected by the people of that state.

Single terms for president and vice president- FDR was elected 4 times but served only 3 terms (12 years). Helped get different ideas.

Secret ballot- When people vote in private.

No intimidation factor.
