Political Spectrum Quiz
So, The political spectrum test was quite interesting. The questions basically consisted of and reflected all the differant issues and values in the United States today. I have to say, that it was much more structured and detailed than I thought it was going to be. I assumed that it'd be maybe five questions, then it'd simply state whether you were a Democrat or Republican. Obviously, I was wrong. How many times this year will I have to admit that? Honestly, its really knocking me down a few pegs, Mr. Bruns! My Culture War Stance

Anyways, the quiz told me that I am a centrist moderate social libertarian. I wish I could say that I read that result and knew exactly what that meant and was able to agree with it. Sadly, and to the expense of my ego, this did not happen. I was confused, to say the least, and had to turn to my old pal Yahoo.Upon researching, I found the Libertarian Party official website. Basically, The party represents the idea of less government, a "people-centered" way of politics where people are able to makes life's decisions on their own. Now, I'm not one to be sucked into a group, or convinced with a few pretty words on a screen, but the ideals expressed on that website matched up well with my own. The party states that the government's only role is to protect it's people from force and fraud. That, I strongly agree with. The smaller the government influence, the better off we as a nation will be.My Foreign Policy Views

The quiz also analyzed my foreign policy veiws and my culture war stance. Basically, I don't believe that the governement should have any control over the lifestyle, such as the issues of religious and sexual freedom. To me, that's simply common sense. Live and let live, let people find their own happiness in life, don't try to dictate it.Being culturally liberal also means holding the belief that the goverment should not be allowed control over literature, art, acedemics, or abortion. These are things I've been saying since I was twelve. Human expression and choice cannot and should not be conrtolled by any one person or groups of people. Life is meant to be lived, not regulted.Lastly, on the issue of foreign policy, I was pegged as a non-interventionist. That basically means that political leaders should not form alliances with other nations. They should basically mind their own business, let eachother do an live as they and their people choose.
