the attack on Pearl Harbor happend on December 7, 1941. That morning, the Japenese launched an attack at the U.S. in order to try and keep us out of the war, we lost several ships, two of which being battleships.

The Japenese wanted to cripple the American Navy so they could attack the islands in the Pacific without interferance, as well the Americans stopped shipments, which the Japenese viewed as unfriendly. they had to do this before the Vinson Walsh Act finished, an act designed to increase the navy. The japenese attacked with six aircraft battleships, with 408 aircraft to be used, the attack consisted of two waves
in the end, the Japenese plan to keep america out of the war back fired on them, causing them to lose the war.
