Fighter jets from Isreal attacked what the country called "terrorist sites" in Gaza for an earlyer attack on Isreal by Gaza. The Isreal Air Force bombed two weapons manufacturing facilities in nothern and centeral Gaza. They also hit a smuggling tunnel in the Rafah border area. Gaza shares the Rafah border with Egypt said Isreali Military Officials.Approximately 15 rockets and moter shells sent from Gaza fired at Isreal last month. About 270 have been fired since the end of Operation Cast Lead, Isreals three week offensive in Gaza earlier this year, the military said. They also added that more than 3,300 rockets or shells were fired prior to the operation.Isreal has said that Operation Cast Lead was designed to stop Palestinians from firing rockets and mortars into Israel from Gaza.
