Recently there has been a wildfire on a airforce base in california. The fire started by a electrical station then moved across the street, to Vandeberg Airforce base. California is a very dry state, therefore it was hard for the rescue depts. to fight the fires. The fires have been roaring for a few days.The fire burnt 350 acres of the base. Many of the crew was ordered to leave buildings and some were evactuated from homes. They have not had rain since febuary of 2009. Many of the roads surround the base have been closed due to the fire. Hoping that this blaze will get off soon. There were 20 tanker fire trucks and 10 helicopters trying to put the fire out, but they have been working hard and trying.
