The supreme law of the United States is the Constitution of the United States of America. It was created on September 17, 1787, in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania by the Constitution Convention
and ratified by conventions in each U.S state in the name of “The People”. The
first ten amendments of the Constitution are known as the Bill of Rights. It
has been amended twenty seven times. The Constitution makes the three branches
of the national government: the bicameral Congress, which is an executive
branch led by the President, a judicial branch headed by the Supreme Court, and
a legislature. It is a framework for the relationship of the federal government
with the citizens, states, and all people within the United
States, and for the organization of the United
States government.
