Today we're doing blog discussions. I learned that, kids had free education when it used to be that you only had free aducation if your family had money and when you got out of high school you had to pay for college.Battle of the wounded knee. Against indians and americans invaded on December 29th, the american people were taking over there stuff. The outcome of the battle .. 300 indians died.. only like 25 of the other people died.cattle becoming buisness, cattle got shipped out of the yard to go to albean, sp. farmers didn't really care about the cattle, had to move them almost every two weeks to a new location because they would eat all the grass. and trains wouldn't carry them, the railroad wouldn't take there profit, because they didn't have enough money.Elis island, place by new york harbor. Take the immigrants into a huge building, they had to go through a big process like going through a physical test to see if they have any diseases, and how much money they had and just asking a lot of questions.. only around 2 % went back.. like if they were disabled or sick. 17 million immigrants that went through.They would test them like an IQ test, and if they did bad they'd send them back.. Women had to come with a man, or a family member, cause they couldn't go by thereselves. .. The people that had similar last names usually got theres changed.Voting policies, wouldn't let african american people vote. You had to read, most of a.a. didn't go to school, so they didn't.. they had to pay to vote. If your grandfather voted, you could have.. but most a.a.'s were slaves, so the african americans usually didn't get too.
