So, anyways, today I unfortunately missed out on this wonderful class due to my attendence at IASC, which is a state student council conference thing which was held in Ames. Apparently in class today we discussed the upcoming project on the Progressive Era, and chose topics. Hopefully the one that was left for me will not be mind-numbingly boring.Anyways, I am going to use this blog to show the amazing speaker that came to IASC to... speak at us? His name is Josh Sundquist. He was a paraolympian for the USA paraolympic team. He lost his leg when he was nine due to cancer. He now travels the country as a motivational speaker. Now, just to tell you how cool I felt... anyways, I was sitting in the front row in the VIP section, and with explaining his story which I will add a video of, he called on me for my name and stuff. He does the same thing in the video, which was a previous motivational thingey he did, and oddly enough, the person in the video is also named Erin, or Aaron... depending on the gender I guess. And also, at the end of his presentation, he sang a song, which by the way, was dedicated to me and some other volunteers, but I was mentioned first. This man is very inspirational, and is a great speaker if you want someone anyone will pay attention to because he is so humerous.
