So today in CWI it was a work day. I started by looking at the power point on the CWI page about Republicans and Democrats. It was a really good refresher. I remembered that republicans are against gay marrage and gun control, and support the war in Iraq, and that democrats are for abortion and the health care reform, but think that we should focuse on the Afganistan war. The republicans are against flag burning because they are very patriotic, and they think it's against our country. The democrats think that flag burning is like freedom of expression and is not prohibited in the constitution. After that I took a quiz online about the European map. It really helped, but it reminded me that I need to study. Now that we're taking the test written I'm a little bit more worried, but I should do ok.Then I studied for the oral test. I learned that Ahmadinejad is the president of Iran. He believes that Israel should be wiped of the face of the earth. I also learned that Khomenei is the absolute head of Iran. He is called a Imam. Another thing that I learned was that Iran at one time was supporting Iraq with weapons against us. That's kind of scary. The last thing I studied today was that the United Nations is a world wide organization that promotes world peace. One interesting fact is that they have six official languages. English, French, Spanish, Abric, Russian, and Chinese. That's what I learned today.
