Monday- Grange is an organization that helps farmers. Has dances and fights against railroads. Elect people that will help them. Allowed Government to supervise the Rail roads. Required railroads to be fair and just. Populist Movement Started in Omaha Nebraska. Help farmers out of debt. Give people a greater voice in government. Increase money in circulation. Farmers where in debt because railroads were expensive. White rich male dominated. William Jennings Bryan lost 3 elections and he ad the famous speech that was the gold cross. 

Tuesday-Did the secret ballot happen. Tons of natural resources helped the American revolution. Government helped cities helped. Immigrants provided cheap labor. Growing population provided markets for manufactured. Coal, copper, lead, steel, gold, iron, nickel, timber are all resources. Farmer moved to the city cities offered more jobs. Immigrants provided cheap labor. telephone, typewriter, electric light bulb.

thursday-  Bessemer process was a process that makes making steel very easy. 1880 was when our country came together. chinese would work and build roads and they would want to run the explosives and mny of them died. They would give them the land on that the tracks laid on and they would pay by the mile. The time change way big for the railroads because they needed to be on time and not running into eachother trains. monopolies is when a big business is control of smaller companies and they will buy out the smaller companies. The big will survive. 

Friday- Rockefeller- He controlled all of his workers. All he cares of is money and oil and he does not care about the other people that get in the way. He did not use the railroads he used his own pipelines. Anti trust act- 1890- was designed to break up monopolies. worth 6-7 times more than warren buffet. He did nit give his money to his family he made them work for it. Vanderbilt was the richest person until rockefeller came along he would be the second richest person behind Rockefeller. He was the railroad monopoly. pierpont-
