Barack Obama has just recently passed his new health care bill. The plan says to be much better than the previous one and to also to be much more affordable. Costs of medications will be lowered and better prices will be offered. It will have better coverage for everyone in America. Overall the plan should work with everyone and leave America with good health care. There are some people are upset with this new system though.
This plan will cover around 32 million people that are uninsured right now. It is trying to keep a difference between taxpaying money and money for private premiums. This way there won’t be any coverage for abortion. None of the health care plan will have to have abortion covered. Small businesses will be helped with this new plan also. If a business 25 employees or less and they offer health coverage then they will get tax credits.
One of the major changes in this health care bill compared to the previous one is that it says everyone in America has to be covered by health insurance. Every single person must have some type of coverage. Also, insurance companies aren’t aloud to turn down anyone that has a pre-existing conditions. Children will be able to stay on their parents’ health care plan until they turn 26. This will give each child more than enough to move out and start their own life and it will more than likely help start our their lives independently.
There was many different issues with the old health care plan. People that were already sick didn’t have a chance. No insurance company would accept you if you if you had pre-existing conditions. So the people that needed health care the most (the sick) were completely out of luck. A lot of people couldn’t afford the previous health care plan. Many of the medications and the coverage were too expensive for some.
Even with all the new changes that claim to make health care better for all, there are critics out there that don’t agree with the new plan and what it offers. Some say that with everyone having to be covered there won’t be enough physicians to take care of everyone. The plan will also have a high cost which will be about $940 billion in the through the following ten years.
I think the plan seems like it will help many people. There are some families out there that have not been able to afford health care in the past and now everyone will be covered. I also thought that people with pre-existing conditions were being treated unfairly. They were the ones that really needed the health care and they couldn’t get it. This new plan will change so much, it should make everything a lot better than it was.
