Obama waiting too long in Afghanistan?

The war in Afghanistan is taking a toll on our soldiers fighting the Taliban insurgents. The Taliban is rallying against American Forces. The top General of US Forces in Afghanistan, Stanley McChystal, had requested from Obama a 30,000-40,000 troop surge in Afghanistan. The surge would resemble the surge that Bush did during his second term. However, Mr. Obama has not made his decision clear about what he is going to do.His party wants to shift attention away from the Afghanistan war with our tail between our legs and head towards al-Qaeda in Pakistan. The Democratic isnt jsut looking at that option, though. They are also looking at looking at the information for longer and make a more educated guess for Afghanistan. However, while they are ignoring our troops and making them wait for reinforcements, our soldiers are taking needless deaths on the battlefield from lack of manpower to hold locations and kill insurgents.

The GOP (Grand Old Party) is not happy with Mr.Obama because he is waiting and troops are dying. Since the GOP doesn't like our military to suffer, they wish for the President to increase our military and stop waiting. The GOP is backed by Senator John McCain.( a true American Patriot) He knows that the military needs help, spending 6 years himself in a POW camp. So his opinion is well respected.

I personally think that Obama should meet the demands of his Generals on the field. You can't expect to win a war unless you give the men in charge something to work with. If we are losing, then that only meants that the Taliban is gaining the upper hand and that we must do everything possible to maintain control and stop teh insurgents once and for all.
