Obama Speech

On Tuesday morning President Obama made a speech to kids around the United States. The speech was stationed in Arlington, VA at Wakefield high school. He started his speech by telling a story about when he was younger and that his family lived out of the U.S. for awhile and his family couldn`t afford to pay for school that most americans went to, so he had to get up at 4:30 in the morning because thats the only time his mother could teach him the things other americans were being taught in school. i think the moural of that story is that you need to get up and get your homework done you will accomplish great things in life.

His speech was about getting kids up from sitting in front of the t.v. the minute you get home and do your homework. Obama stated that you need to pay attention to your teachers, parents, grandparents, ect. because our future depends on you. You cant just drop out of high school and drop into a job, you have to learn, train, and work for it. He said that when he was a kid he wasn`t always focaused in school and got into more trouble that he needed to but then he went on to law school and strightened up. Set goals for your education and stay on track and you should be just fine in life. I thought this speech was really good and wish thatwe could have watched it in school. It really related to what most teachers say to us in our school district.
