Go to U.S. history page to make sure what we need in the presentation.Austin, was finishing up on his powerpoint also today.in 1905 work was gettin gunder way.we bought the panama canal from the french.the three divisions;three divisions of work.central division, started on the galiun cut?pasific division.the atlantic division.culebra cut, or galliard cut.it was hard when you were on the mountain because they had so many rocks on them.what was it like making it, it was very difficult from like digging dirt out, and then the dirt would just move right back to were it was, so it was harder to get it out.Locks,first started on august 4 1909the locks basically you take water from a source. you had to put the ship up and then back down?dams-on october 10th 1913the first boat to transit the canal was the old french crane boat alexandre la valley which wasn't the official transit.they wanted to make a big deal about the first ship. but it ended up not being so big.the locksThe big ships aren't able to go through because they were just to big.
