Students will understand the causes and effects of the Great Depression.The Mexican SituationWe Controlled a lot of mexico with the dollar diplomacy which meant that we were in control of mexico through their businessess and their economies. The Mexicans did not like their leader Taft because he was so tight with the United States and he let us controll their businesses through dollar diplomacy. There was another diplomacy thing called the Missonary Diplomacy made by Wilson that said that we could not help Latin American Counrties if they were un-democratic and not nice to us. I think we went over this with Mr. Bruns... this all counds kinda familiar. Anyways, we invaded Mexico in 1915 in response of the murder of Americans be that Poncho-Villa dude while Caranza was in power. Eventually the Mexican and the American troops fought so Caranza was not so friendly with the United States anymore.
