Today in CWI we talked about what our blog topics are going to be this week. This week it is to summarize what happened in Rwanda in 1994. The weekend after that the topic will be to right about what caused the crisis, describe what is happening there, and what is the UN/US doing to help in Durfur- Sudan. These are the only blog topics we have left for the year :)Next we went over the essentials for CWI. We have to have a blog for the semester test. This does not need any pictures mostly just information. It is the study guide for the semester test. The topics for the test that he will ask for are on the CWI page.Tomorrow we are going to watch a video. We need to look for how does the people bomb define overpopulation, causes of overpopulation, and effects of over population. We need to know how to answer those questions for the semester tests.The last group of the projects went. Their topic was species destruction. Tasmanian Tiger is the last known one in 1936. Carribean monk seal was last seen on June 6th. An example of a critically endangered species is sri lankan slender. There are about 100 of them left. Destruction of habitat, pollution, and alien species are reasons they are becoming extict. Other reasons why they are becoming extinct are climate change, and overaspecialization. This is when one type of animal onloy eats on type of something and that starts to die out.Coral reefs are beautiful but over fishing and over using is causing risks for the reefs. Waves are causing the reefs to aid with algae. One way we can help is not poluting our seas with teh waste from everything that we dont need anymore. Another way is we can help clean the oceans up as much as we can and dont over fish.After that we went over the current event blogs. We did not have time to go over the Canada map which i dont know at all! Tomorrow we are going to watch a video and take the Canada map test ughhh.
