Today we worked on presentations. My topic is on worker's safety. I learned that the immigrants were really desparate and worked wherever they could work. As long as the job payed some money, they would work for as little as was humanly possible. Eventually, there was more immigrants being killed or injured on the job because there were way more immigrant working in the industries than whites. Some people thought of the immigrants getting hurt more often because of the fact that they would misunderstand their employer or other people trying to teach them how to do that. They wouldn't know the english language and not know what to do, so there fore they would get hurt because they wouldn't know what to do.
