Today in class Becka and Justice finished up the presentation. At first they had Zoho problems. Mr. Bruns told us that the Canadian Map test will be next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Becka and Justice presentation is over deforestation. They picked up today with Justice talking about World Wildlife Fund. The root of this problem is Poverty. Causes of Deforestation are expansion of agriculture, logging, minning, and expansion of industry. We can stop deforestation by recycling, be more aware of things we buy that we can re-use. The root cause of deforestation is poverty. 50,000 species of plants and animals become extinct every year due to deforestation. Effects are Land degradation, severe soil erosion, and loss of earth's biodiversity. Next we did Blog discussions from last week. Bri did college tuition. Taylor did hers about a astronaunt who was in space while his wife had a baby. Jena did hers about a girl that got attacked by a chimp.
