Today in CWI Becka and Justice finished their power point on derforestation. First we reviewed what we had talked about yesterday on their topic. The WWF believes that progress will be made by adressing the complex root causes of deforesation and forest degradation. The root cause of deforesation is poverty. Basically everyone needs to work together to make this problem better. Some causes of deforesations is expansion of agriculture, logging, mining, and expansion of industry. We can stop deforesation by recycling, be more concious of what we buy. The blame isnt all on us the goverment could pass laws that could help with deforesation. The effects of deforesations is land degration, severe soil erosion, and loss of earths biodiversity.Then we went into blog disussion. Bri talked about tuition and how its going up. Bruns talked about how when he went to college we had to pay for some of it. There is an astronaut that had a baby while they were orbiting the earth. He is the second astronaunt to have a baby born in space. Jena did heres about a girl that got attacked by a chimp. The girl cant remember any of it. There was a ferry that sunk in Indonesia. There is not a blog topic this week but we still have to do disuccsions.
