Today in CWI we started off finishing up becca and Justice's presentation. The World Widelife Fund believes that progress will be made by addressing the complex root causes of deforestation and forest degradation. Causes of deforestation are expansion of agriculture, logging, mining, and expansion of industry. You can stop deforestation by recycling because you get paper from trees and the more paper we throw away, the more trees we loose. We can also be my concious about what we buy, dont throw everything you buy away, be more conservative. Dont blame it all on the people though, the government could easily pass more laws to keep the world clean. 50,000 species of plants and animals become extinct every year do to deforestation. Effects of deforestation are land degradtion, severe soil erosion, and loss of earth's biodiversity.Next were our blog descussions. Jena talked about a girl that got attacked by a chimpanze. Her friend called 911 yelling he's ripping her face off! He litterally was. Max talked about how a ferry sank.
