November 20, 2009;

Today in CWI we presented our projects. Our group went first to get it over with. Our groups topic was climate change. Bruns said that since we did a video we should have a pop up with the information. The class said we had humor in it but still made it have good information. Bruns said that next time we shouldnt have people in the background talking. He said we shouldnt look off of papers while we are taping and we should say it from the heart.The second group went had Bri, Erin, DJ, and Jessica in it. Their topic was Climate Change part 2. Kyoto Protocal, IPCC summary reports, what needs to happen so global warming is slowed down or stopped are the things we need to look for in the video. Climate change is any long term significant change in the weather patterns of an area. The Kyoto protocal is an international agreement created by the U.N. They got the name for it because they came up with it in Kyoto, Japan. The goal is to reduce effocts of climate change. Countries who adapt the Kyoto Protocal have to reduce how much greenhouse cases their country puts in the air. As of February 2009 183 countries have signed or agreed to follow the Kyoto Protocal. These countries make up 55 percent of teh worlds greenhouse gases.The united states has signed it but will not ratify it or make it a law. Possible reason is that it will cause people to lose their jobs and they are protecting the economic intrests.The IPCC summary report. It was the fourth summary report that was put out in 2007. IPCC stands for intergovermental panel on climate change. They did seven smell tests to see if they could determine anything. The report consisted of thousands of authors from dozens of countries and states in the summary. Then class got over in the middle of their presentation to Bruns said we will finish on Monday.
