So, this guy, Joe Enders, is fighting over in the Solomon Islands and like everyone is dying aroung him. One of his friends dies and he is like mourning over the body when a grenade goes off. He is knocked unconsious. He is taken to a hospital and he gets a Purple Heart. He is fine except he cant hear out of one ear. In order to go back and fight again, he has to pass a hearing test. This nurse lady helps him pass. So when he goes back he has to like protect this like Navajo code talker, Ben Yahzee. This other sargent dude has to protect another Navajo code talker, Charlie Whitehorse. They were told that if the Japanese people captured the code people then they had to kill the Navajo code talkers so they wouldnt get the code.
One of the code talkers radio gets destroyed. So then the attack the Japanese. They make Yahzee go like undercover and then Enders trys to go and use the Japanese radio. They make it and the Yahzee guy kills the man by the radio. The Whitehorse guy gets captured and Joe Enders has to throw a grenade to kill Whitehorse and a few Japanese soldiers. The Yahzee guy later finds out that Joe Enders had to kill Whitehorse. Yahzee then gets angry and tries to kill Joe Enders. Yahzee shoots him a few times but then the rest of the people stop him.
In a battle agianst some Japanese people the leader person dies and Enders is made the new leader. Yahzee is still angry and just goes and atttacks some Japanese people and he loses their radio. Enders and Yahzee try to get it back and they both get shot. Enders then carries Yahzee to safety and he calls some troops to save them. When the Japanese people are dead Yahzee notices that Enders is shot in the chest. Right before Enders dies he tells Yahzee that he never wanted to kill Whitehorse.
I thought it was a very good movie. I was surprised in the begining when the nurse like cheated to help him get back in the army and fight. If I was Enders and I lost hearing in one of my ears and I almost died I would not have gone back to fight. I think it was a pretty good movie over all.
