We wont have anymore tests until the semester test!!
Then we got our blog topics for this week. My topic is the peace corps. Im supposed to talk about what it is, what it did, is it still around today, who or what it helped.
Then we started on presentations.
The U.S. homefront--
-They were rationing food and gas. Any like metal they had they were to like recycle it. They had a shortage on rubber and they didnt have like any toys made of rubber and they were all made of metal. The women had to work and they didnt really want to becuase they didnt want to get strong and dirty and look like boys so this chick, Rosie the Riveter, showed the women that they could still get the job done and look pretty. They also had all this propoganda that was making the Germans and Japanese look look like animals. They were doing this to show america that they need to buy war bonds so they army can defeat them and they wont invade the country.
