monday--1-11-10

Today Bruns said that we are going to watch a video about the 20s. I hope it’s pretty interesting. Our blog for this week is over something from chapter 15. We have to pick something that interests us and blog about it. He talked a little more about the extra credit opportunities and test opportunities. Then he talked about “ticket in the door”. Our ticket out the door is you just have to write something about what happened, it should take only a few seconds to do and its not going to be very hard. Our ticket out the door for today is “What made the 20’s fun and roaring?” Then he started talking about our semester test and blog. I totally waited till the last minute and that was not a good idea. It took me like 3 hours. So, this time I’m going to do it throughout the semester. There are 8 questions that we have to answer. After every presentation there will be positive and constructive criticism. We will give as well as receive criticism. He won’t hand out rubrics or anything; he says he is done making copies. Ha. He does not accept late work, but like if we didn’t get our blog done we don’t have to get it done until next week because he wont grade our websites till like Sunday night. He says that free loading and enabling is bad and we shouldn’t do either of them. He is generally not a very angry person and I don’t think I have ever seen him get mad. Then we picked our groups and we got assigned seats. Amanda and I are in a group together, but right now she is in Florida so she doesn’t know. Then he assigned books and computers. So, we didn’t watch a movie and we don’t have a ticket in the door. That is the end of class. I didn’t really learn to much today because I was in this class last semester so I already knew most of this.
