Today in history we worked on our powerpoints for our projects.I learned that most of the immigrants came to the U.S. because of famine, political or religious persecution, and land shortages. Most of the immigrants were from Europe, but a large amount also came from China and Japan. These immigrants came to the west coast, while the others went to the east coast. Also, around 700,000 Mexicans came to the U.S. from 1910-1930. Around 20 millions Europeans came between 1870-1920.Some immigrants came to earn money and then leave or send money back. These immigrants were called birds of passages. This is only a little part of my section.
