Today in CWI, we did blog discussions. Lauren went first. She told us about a guy who was addicted to alcohol, so he started doing marathons. Now he's 70 and just ran his 163rd. Haley did hers on the pastor at the methodist church who recently told his congregation he's a transgender. It is not against the clergy, so he can remain the pastor there. Then Jena went. She did her story on they typhoon in the Philipenes. It is a severe tropical storm and it's taken a lot of lives. Taylor did typhoon that came immediately following the first. The streets are flooded and right now, it's just a mess over there. I did mine on the violent video games and toys that are going to possibly be banned in Venezuela. Their crime rate is really high right now, like 152 homicides per week. They stopped releasing those figures to the public in 2005 so people wouldn't be as scared.Becca did hers on two girls found in Tenessee with their dad. One of the two was 12 years old and she was pregnant. There was an amber-alert out, and girl who was pregnant needed medical attention, which her dad did not get her, so he is now in custody. These are just some of the stories we talked about today.
