Today in class I learned that the progressives wanted to make big chances for our country. For example income tax the banning or alcoholic beverages, and women's right to vote. They were out to help the common people. I also learned that for our assigned blog we have a topic to expand on. Pictures will be very important. Mine is Woman's Suffrage. It has to do with the 14th and 15th amendments and what men feared and stuff like that.The Populists were farmers and people that were trying to help people fight the railroads. The common people and the rich people didn't get alone. If you were a common person and you had to "fight" rich people you were more than likely lose.I think that this will be and interesting topic to do research on. I'm pretty excited about it.
