today, we talked about what we were suppose to have done over the previuos week, which was over a chapter other then our own. all of which covered stuff we alreadfy talked about.then we did a presentaion, which was over expansion of industry, oil became known as blakc gold, and in 1859 was used as a fuel, Edwin L. Drake used the first oil rig to get oil. an oil boom was caused by the use of oil in steam engines, iron was switched to steel as the main source of building material, since iron was crappy, steel was also allwoed skyscrapers to be built. thomas edison also contributed to the industry expansion, but invednted the light bulb, and radio. the telephone was also invented during the expansion.
