Today in CWI, it was kind of busy.. ugh): ha. We first discussed our last two blog assignments. This week is going to be Rwanda. The questions we need to answer are what happened, like the causes and how happened in result of it. The other topic we have is Darfur-Sudan. The questions we need to answer about it are what caused the crisis, what is happening there now, and what the UN/US is doing to help.Bruns told us we are going to start watching The People Bomb video starting tomorrow. It is about overpopulation. The things we need to learn are;their definition of overpopulationcauses of overpopulationeffects of overpopulation. We will also need to know these for the semester test. Then Cheyna Sky and Nicole went and presented their project on species destruction. There are a lot of species that are/becoming extinct. Reasons for this are destruction of habitat, pollution, alien species, climate change, and overaspecialization, which is where a certain type of animal only eats one type of animal, so the animal being eaten has very low numbers.I learned that coral reefs are important because they help big waves from reaching the shore, they supply food to a lot of animals that hide. We can help by not polluting the seas with waste and try not to over fish. We finished the hour with discussing our free choice blogs from a previous week.
