Today we went over the map for the Central America test. I think that I am starting to get it pretty good. The capitals are just really weird. Tomorrow Mr. Bruns will give us a Write to Learn that will have something to do with the map. Since its Monday, we did our blog discussions. Matt and Chelsea did their blog about Saddam Hussein. Courtney and Makayla did theirs about why the U.S. went to war with Iraq in 1990. Our main goal was to get Iraq out of the country of Kuwait. Saddam thought that Kuwait was taking their oil so he invaded them to take it back. That was went Iraqi terrorists began to hate the United States because we were based around their country in Saudi Arabia and they wanted us out. My own blog was about what happened after the war in Iraq and the consequences for them. This week's assigned blogs will be free choice but Mr. Bruns had a few people do their's on important things that are going on right now. There was a person who chose to do theirs about whats going on in North Korea and another about Iran. I decided to volunteer to do my blog on another earthquake that happened in Turkey this morning.
