Our Democrat/Republican/Iraq/Iran test is tomorrow. We did blog discussions today. Matt did his blog on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He believes 9/11 was a set-up by the United States so we could go to war in the Middle East, the Holocaust never happened, and Israel should be knocked off the face of the earth. Shannon did her blog on the 2009 election. People believed people rigged the election to get Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the presidency. They feel it was unjust and unfair, and that people stuffed the ballots with fake votes in his favor. Makayla and I gave our blog discussions on the United Nations. For the test we should know about the United Nations, the General Assembly, and the Security Council. Trey did his blog on Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He's more of the 'big cheese' in Iran but hides behind Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Ana and Morganne's blogs were on Iran's nuclear power program. Iran says they're using their nuclear energy for power and not weapons, but many countries don't believe them and are worried. Courtney's blog was on Iran's role in the Iraq war. They're giving Iraq weapons and training their soldiers to kill our soldiers. We know weapons and people are coming into Iraq to help fight, but Ahmadinejad denies it. Seems like he does a lot of denying, doesn't it? Isaac's blog was on the religion of Iran and how it's related to the government. Most Iranians are Islamic. Sunni is the biggest branch of Islam (about 85%) and the remaining is Shi'i. Our map test will most likely be Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
