-The US senate tried to stay out of foreign affairs vecause they strongly believed in isolationism

-Democracy, political government which the representatives were elected by the people

-FDR was elected in 1932, elected for 4 terms and was commander and chief of the army and navy

-got the US out of the great depression with the new deal.
5. What were the goals of the leader?
-Yalta Conference (Feb 1945, they wanted to separate Germany into four, also Soviet Union would get into the war with Japan after Germany was defeated) Atlantic Charter (we wouldn’t make peace with Germany until they were destroyed, we would only make peace with them if all the Nazi’s were destroyed)

-Attack by air, Naval bases so they could attack Japan and other countries, FOCUSED on defeating Germany first
