Today we continued with our Democrat/Republican/Iraq/Iran tests. We're hoping to have our blog discussions by Wednesday. Our map test will most likely be on Wednesday and Thursday. During the tests this week we can study for our map test, work on our health care blog, or work on our projects. I studied for my map test all period. Mr. Bruns introduced our new project -- Hot, Flat and Crowded. My group's subject is overpopulation. We need to know the preventions on a global, national, state, individual, etc. scale. We need to know what overpopulation is and what causes it (go deep!). We also need to know the affects it has on the world, countries, families, etc. The average number of kids a woman has is 7 or 8, and mostly in 3rd world countries (countries that are behind others and are poor). We want good information, pictures, and music that fits the 'mood' of the topic in our powerpoints. We can do a powerpoint or a video. We need to make sure we upload the project to our website. The rubrics are on the message board. This project will be due sometime next week, around Wednesday. We don't have an assigned blog topic this week because of Easter, but next week's will be health care. We can do that this week and get it out of the way if we'd like.
