Today in class we are not doing our oral speeches since we only met for two days out of the week last week. Our first assigned blogs and message posts were due last night. The next assigned blog will be over the top fifteen events that happened in the world from 2000 to 2010. This list should include a couple sentences or a paragraph of explanation and should be in order of importance. Three ways to get extra credit: for every fifty message posts you post you get three points, do a video interview with somebody about something current for fifteen points, or do a documentary (talk with different people, these take research and a lot of work). We’ll have a test over the continents and oceans worth twenty five points, and it is done orally. Map tests will be done orally, after trying to do one oral test, you can try to do a written test. The Semester test is 15-16 percent of our grade and could be done orally. Along with the oral you have to do a Semester Test blog which is 10 percent of our grade, in the blog we answer all the questions that will be on the oral test. Mr. Bruns recommends that we type the questions as we go through each unit in Microsoft Word and save it as we go along. Every Quarter we might be given fifty points for being generally a good student.
