Austin, March 7, 1965- Bloody Sunday A whole bunch of black people were attacked during a march. Police attacked them. The march was non violent. After this happened Martin Luther King planned another march.
Dasha,Thurgood Marshall- was born in Baltimore he completed highschool in1925, he went to lincoln university, his father was taught him to obey the law early. He was a lawyer.
Austin, Tuskegee Airman, They were the first african american group in the us history they flew in WW2. They had things that they couldn't do because of segregation. They still flew. The flew bomber missions.
Malcom X, He was born in Omaha NE, he was a black rights speaker. Before he was 13 his mom was in a mental instiution and his dad died. He stayed on a good path and tried to be a lawyer. He was a preacher at this time. He was told that he will never be one and started to get into crime. He was in jail for 8 years and they after that he became a speaker. He was killed by the islums. He was a lot more violent then MLK. (Martin Luther King)
Booker T Washington, he was an former slave on a small tobacco plantation. his mom was a servant in the house he never knew his father. he did have a step father. *Slave owner raping slaves* when he was thriteen he carried books for his daughter then he was able to go to school and he moved in with his step father. he had to pay for his schooling and he would get up at four am and work in a mine so he could go to school for the rest of the day he walked five hundred miles to go to school he became a teacher and a principal
